A new Alta Velocidad Española (AVE) is reaching Lorca in 2024 on its way into Andalucia. Lorca gets a 2.5-kilometre tunnel and underground station says Minister Inigo de la Serna, the Minister for Development from Madrid. San Diego gets also a new station and stops are planned for example to Pulpi. This news rises up Mar de Pulpi’s option as a one major habitation area as new development has been running now several years and its landscape, beaches and other nature is in top class. Orihuela has gained a lot of activity by AVE already today.
The Spanish AVE system is today the longest HSR network in Europe with 3,240 km and is the second longest in the world, after China’s AVE network. Image/source: AVE network January 2018/wikipedia. More from: https://tinyurl.com/ydemhhfy
